As part of our effort to keep patients informed, below you can find many Frequently Asked Questions that have come up in the past. Sometimes you can if there is no sign of periodontal disease. However, recession, inflammation, deep pockets, sensitivity and other factors can be signs of periodontal disease and might require more involved therapy that might need to be broken up into multiple visits.
Fees for services vary from person to person depending on the extent of the procedure and the type of insurance you have.
The inspiration for our logo is the graphical representation of the Golden Ratio. The golden ratio is a geometric shape with the ratio of 1:1.618. It was officially discovered by the Greeks, however the ratio can be seen in even older cultures. Architecturally, the golden ratio is considered to be pleasing to the eye. Moreover, if you look carefully the golden ratio exists in nature as well. In fact, western cultures find the ratio in the faces of it’s most beautiful celebrities. Believe it or not, teeth exhibit this same ratio and is the guide for creating the perfect smile.
The success and failure of dental treatment does not solely lie in the hands of the dentist. The patient must also be responsible for the health of their mouth. Of course, faulty restorations will always be fixed/replaced at Dori Dental Arts, however we cannot be held responsible due to accidents, trauma or patient neglect.
Amalgam (silver) fillings have been used in dentistry for over 150 years. It has been a reliable material and works. That being said, there are a few reasons one might have an amalgam filling removed. #1: Recurrent decay - decay underneath the filling requires the removal of the amalgam to access the decay. #2: Esthetics - amalgam fillings are not esthetic and corrode, leaving teeth grey and stained. #3: Cracked teeth – amalgam fillings tend to fracture teeth due to the preparation design used to retain the filling.
Dori Dental Arts treats patients of all ages as long as they wish to be treated. We do not sedate children nor do we restrain them in any way.
Dori Dental Arts offers Zoom bleaching. This is a 1hr in office bleaching treatment that can brighten your smile by several shades.
